A Bit of History

Difficulty Easy 0-25 €

The history we're talking about today isn't the history of our love, though it could be since every moment eventually becomes part of history. The history this week's idea is about is the one found in history books. Even if it sounds crazy, we propose gifting a bit of history :)

How do we make history appealing to everyone? The answer is simple: through curiosity. We are extremely curious creatures, especially about things that somehow relate to ourselves. Our lives and history are full of special dates: birthdays, anniversaries, etc. And every date is filled with historical events, interesting happenings that occurred on that same day but in different years. Finding them won't be hard thanks to the Internet and sites like the History Channel. If you add a bit of archive work, you can find events that happened on a specific day (very useful for birthdays). Along the same lines, a bit of online diving can lead you to the songs that topped the charts on that date.

For example, suppose it's the birthday of someone special and you're short on ideas. You can gather all sorts of information related to the birthday: historical events, newspaper covers, songs from the year they were born... As a complement, you can sneak in songs or news created by you that recall key moments in your relationship.
