The Fantastic Car

Difficulty Medium 0-25 €

Once upon a time, in the world of successful TV series from the last century, there was a black car with a sleek sports finish characterized by a beam of red lights in the front that moved cyclically from left to right. It was called Kitt, and it was a truly charming car. Created by the Phoenix Foundation, it put its electronic circuits at the service of Michael Knight, its daring driver. Together they roamed across the USA, fighting all sorts of injustices.

Technology has advanced a lot in the last 20 years, but not enough for our cars to talk with the same sense of humor as the lovable Kitt. How useful such a skill would be to have it as an accomplice in our surprises... But as we often say, nothing is impossible for a good romantic, and today we'll prove it once again.

Carrying out this idea will require you to have a car with a CD player at a minimum. If you're also the driver and can control the music system from the steering wheel, you'll be in the ideal situation to make this proposal a reality.

The first thing you need to do is think about the situation in which you'll perform the surprise. You have to think like screenwriters of a scene involving three people: you, your partner, and the car. Imagine the things you'll say, what they'll say to you, and what you'll respond. When you know everything you'll have to say, record what the car has to say on the CD using a different file for each phrase. It wouldn't hurt to download a modulator or synthesizer so that the recorded CD doesn't sound like your voice. Memorize which track of the disc corresponds to each phrase so that you can express yourself smoothly every time you want the car to say something.

Once you've done the above, the rest is easy. Take your partner to the car and play with the play and track order. The possibilities are almost endless. Imagine that as soon as you get in the car, it throws a compliment to the co-pilot, tells a joke, anecdote, love declaration, tells them to look under the seat for a gift, has a conversation with you, etc.
