Chocolate Truffles
Recipe sent by Lucía
Ingredients
- 200 g (8 bars) of NESTLÉ DESSERT Chocolate - 200 g whipped cream - 100 g butter - 5 tablespoons sugar - 3 egg yolks - chocolate sprinkles
Preparation
- Melt the chopped chocolate in a double boiler with the sugar and butter. When it's lukewarm, add the yolks and cream, mix well, and leave it in the freezer until it hardens. - Form small balls and roll them in chocolate sprinkles. - Serve the truffles in fluted paper cups.
Things to consider:
First of all, with these ingredients, you'll get a good amount of truffles, so be patient :P
As for the preparation, the process is similar to making meatballs, that is, you take a reasonable portion with a spoon and start shaping it with your hands. Don't worry if they come out a bit misshapen because the chocolate sprinkles will cover it up.
When you see that the chocolate is too melted, put it in the freezer for a bit (take this opportunity to rest a little), as working with melted chocolate makes the preparation much more difficult.
Presentation suggestion: buy a nice box and baking paper to put inside. You can also buy rose petals to place inside the box. This will make your truffles look even more special and spectacular.
Good luck in the kitchen!!!
